WASHINGTON—In response to Commissioner Kevin McIntyre’s announcement to step down as chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the subsequent appointment of Commissioner Neil Chatterjee as chairman, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners has issued the following statement:

“We thank Commissioner McIntyre for his service as FERC Chairman and continued commitment to responsible energy regulation. Our thoughts and concerns are with Commissioner McIntyre and we wish him the best. Chairman Chatterjee has actively engaged with NARUC on issues important to state regulators and we look forward to working with him in his new role.”
