In recent years, either at the behest of legislation or through commissions’ own initiatives, utility regulators have been considering issues related to environmental justice, impacts on disadvantaged or historically underrepresented communities, diversity and inclusion, new engagement policies, and/or energy burden. This panel will hear from commission staff and external experts on experiences in Oregon, Colorado, and Hawaii, and provide options regulators can consider to address equity.
